The Story of the Sensitives

A Sensitive is a being who visually and physically manifests her inner, spiritual condition. The sensitive creates and dons sculptures that reference organic motifs that symbolize these inner churnings.

This piece is a documented aerial silks performance. As it is being projected, I ask viewers where they feel their sensitivities. Do their toes go cold when they are sad? Does their sternum pulse when they feel threatened? Do the back of their ears throb when they are lost? With the same frosty blue as the walnut womb and my limbs in the video, I will paint the back of their hands (using the Korean-hand-therapy-map system) based on the areas they feel their sensitivities dwell.

This work invites people to join me as I journey through chronic pain, existential questioning, and spiritual satisfaction.
