Marks of Mark

This work is inspired by Mark chapter 4, which tells about parables and the reason for parables. A life can be a living parable: a story of a worldview in action, prompting questions. In the same way, I believe an art piece can do the same and be a visual parable; planting seeds of curiosity, wonder, a desire to unravel and read into, and find out, if only the seeing are willing to perceive… In my way of meditating on Mark’s message, all 16 chapters were writ, folded, rolled, and knit, resulting in this fabric, which I now humbly present to you to visually unravel, the Marks of Mark.
